About The Position
The Department of Linguistics is seeking qualified applicants for its open pro tem instructor pool to fill positions as needs arise. We are particularly interested in instructors of functional and cognitive linguistics, as well as second language acquisition and foreign language teaching methods. Instructors spend 90% of their time on teaching responsibilities, and 10% in service. Pool positions are limited duration appointments, potentially renewable up to a total of three years.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Linguistics or a related field.
- Professional experience, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D in Linguistics or a related field.
