About The Position

The Process Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining critical dairy processing equipment including evaporators, dryers, and pasteurizers. This role encompasses performing Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures, executing startup and shutdown protocols, conducting equipment inspections, and managing silo transfers. The operator must maintain accurate records, communicate effectively across shifts and departments, and ensure strict compliance with food safety, quality, and GMP standards. This position requires technical expertise in dairy manufacturing processes, the ability to work 12-hour shifts in varying environmental conditions, and a commitment to safety and quality excellence.

Requirements

Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
Ability to operate equipment.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize time.
Knowledge of evaporators, dryers, pasteurizers and food manufacturing process.
High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent

Responsibilities

CIP all process equipment, silos and lines.
Perform the startup and shutdown functions of process equipment.
Perform CIP and process connections.
Operate E3 evaporator and D3 dryer.
Operate the cream HTST pasteurizer and skim pasteurizer.
Perform bag house and sifter inspections.
Perform silo transfers and make connections for receiving milk.
Perform evaporator and equipment inspections.
Identify, and correctly use chemicals as related to job.
Maintain a high level of communication with each plant/process as the job demands.
Keep accurate and legible records.
Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines.
Adhere to all UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
Other duties as required.
