About The Position

The Process Server position in the Victim Witness Process Service Unit requires serving personal service subpoena requests and Subpoena Duces Tecums to various addresses throughout Miami-Dade County. The work schedule for this position is 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a possible Saturday rotation. Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule.

Requirements

High School Diploma or its equivalent
One (1) year of law enforcement investigation or related work experience
Must have a valid Florida Driver License, possess a very good driving record and meet the requirements of the State Attorney’s Office Driving Policy
Must have knowledge of the geographical layout of Miami-Dade County

Nice To Haves

Being familiar with police communications

Responsibilities

Serving subpoenas and court summons
Locating witnesses who have moved and/or are avoiding participating in the felony criminal court system
Updating the Subpoena Program with the return of service
Completing monthly Vehicle Inspection Reports
Completing Daily Activity Reports
Working closely with the Unit Paralegals to obtain better contact information
Performing other related duties as assigned
