Sustains processing areas including photolithography, wet etch, resist strip, wafer cleaning, bonding, dry etch, and saw and grind. Using an understanding of the process, disposes of hold lots, responds to process questions from the staff, and works with maintenance to bring up equipment. Assures product quality by evaluating test lots, particle counts, and statistical process control data. Runs experiments to improve or resolve process problems. Accepts handoff from prior shift to maintain continuity or trouble shoot issues. SKILL: As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways. JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. SUPERVISION: Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel. EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.
