Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. Provides clerical and administrative support for the Children and Family Services Division. Responsibilities include covering the lobby area; processing mail; performing data entry of forms into multiple systems; investigating and reconciling discrepancies in case files; completing criminal background and central registry checks within required timeframes; answering multi-line telephones; routing calls and recording messages; typing forms, correspondence, and reports; and performing other clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience using multi-line phone systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with the public
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet required timelines
  • Graduation from high school and one year
  • Demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least one (1) year of office assistant or secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
