About The Position

Provides engineering skills to support product development, quality control and production through design, analysis, and validation of health care products and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years ’ experience working as an engineer in mechanical or chemical manufacturing or physics or equivalent education
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine and techni cal testing protocols, reports, and correspondence
  • Detail oriented and ability to organize, document, and communicate across the organization
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks preferred) and statistical tools such as Excel and Minitab

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Physics)
  • Medical or dental device m anufacturing working experience
  • Knowledge of regulator y requirements (FDA and others)
  • E xcellent problem solving skills
  • Six Sigma or other Lean Manuf acturing training or experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Uses engineering training in the design/development, testing, documentation and manufacturing of products with adherence to product development process
  • Creates drawings, documentation, and specification for products as well as maintenance of documentation for existing products.
  • Prepare the production "package" including work instructions, travelers, drawings, labeling, etc.
  • Provide s manufacturing engineering support for production and assembly operations.
  • Manage s design history file including design review meetings, phase sign-offs, and turnover at end of project
  • Perform s final product verific ation and validation testing
  • Recommend s and implement s process improvements for manufacturing procedures
  • Analyze s equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate the results
  • Select s components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliabil ity, and regulatory requirements
