Product Marketing Manager

WorkshopOmaha, NE
1d$90,000 - $120,000

About The Position

Workshop is an email-first internal communications platform that helps companies create more happy Mondays. We make it simple to create, send, manage, and measure internal communications that employees actually enjoy. We're a fast, friendly, and focused team that cares a lot about great work and even greater people. We're looking for a product marketing manager who can own the way Workshop shows up in the market — through the stories we tell, the content we create, and the messaging that helps internal communicators understand why Workshop exists and how it makes their work better. This is not a traditional PMM role focused on launches and sales enablement alone. At Workshop, product marketing lives closer to content and narrative than it does to a product release calendar. You'll spend your time crafting compelling messaging, writing and shaping high-quality content, and building the connective tissue between what we build and what our audience cares about. This role is ideal for someone who thinks of product marketing as a storytelling discipline first — someone who can translate product capabilities into language that resonates with internal comms professionals, HR leaders, and the people who care deeply about employee experience. If you light up when you find the perfect way to frame a feature, a trend, or a point of view, this might be your role. This role reports to the CMO and has no direct reports at this time.

Requirements

  • Have 4+ years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or a hybrid of both — preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Be an exceptional writer who can move fluidly between long-form content, punchy product copy, and strategic messaging docs
  • Have a portfolio (or examples) of messaging, positioning, or content work you're proud of
  • Understand what makes a narrative land with a practitioner audience, not just a buyer
  • Be comfortable going deep on product — sitting in on roadmap reviews, parsing feature specs, and asking the right questions to find the story worth telling
  • Have an experimentation mindset: quickly iterate on messaging and creative, read what's resonating, and bring those learnings back to the product team
  • Know how to distill complex ideas into clear, simple language that feels warm and human (not jargon-heavy or corporate)
  • Thrive in cross-functional partnerships with product, content, sales, and design
  • Be self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity — you know how to find the work that matters and move it forward without a lot of hand-holding
  • Care about the craft of communication and have a genuine curiosity about how organizations talk to their people

Nice To Haves

  • Have worked in or around internal communications, employee engagement, or HR tech
  • Have experience building messaging from scratch at a startup or scaling company
  • Are currently using AI in interesting ways to accelerate your content and research workflow
  • Have a knack for turning customer conversations into compelling stories
  • Bring a calm, grounded energy to shifting priorities and fast-moving product cycles
  • Care about brand and pipeline, and don't treat them like competing planets
  • Bring a little delight into the work :)

Responsibilities

  • Own Workshop's product positioning, messaging, and narrative across all channels — website, email, social, sales materials, and more
  • Write and shape content that helps internal communicators understand how Workshop fits into their world — think blog posts, guides, one-pagers, customer stories, and thought leadership
  • Develop messaging frameworks and talking points for new features and product updates, ensuring every launch has a clear "so what" for our audience
  • Partner closely with product to deeply understand what we're building, why it matters, and how to translate technical capabilities into simple, human language
  • Collaborate with content and creative to ensure messaging is consistent, compelling, and grounded in what internal communicators actually need
  • Build and refine competitive positioning that helps Workshop stand out in a crowded internal comms landscape
  • Support sales with clear, useful materials — without letting enablement become the center of gravity for this role
  • Stay close to our customers and our community to understand what resonates and what doesn't
  • Use customer insights, market trends, and performance data to continuously sharpen our messaging and content strategy

  • Competitive total compensation
  • Stock options
  • Healthcare
  • 401(k)
