Job requirements The Product Operations Manager is responsible for building and running the operating backbone of Aptia’s product organization. This role ensures that product strategy, execution and outcomes stay aligned as the organization scales. You will design, standardize, and enforce the product management operating system – the frameworks, tooling, rituals, and governance that define how product work is planned, executed, measured, and delivered at Aptia. This role requires fluency in modern, proven product management practices, and the ability to translate those practices into clear expectations for how work gets done, what must be produced, and when decisions and deliverables are required. The Product Operations Manager brings consistency and rigor, establishing shared language, artifacts, and accountability across product teams while preserving space for product leadership and innovation. This role will report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Aptia. Why this Role Matters Product operations is critical to building a product organization that scales effectively. Requirements

  • Multiple years in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or other related role in a scale product organization.
  • Strong understanding of modern product development practices, portfolio management, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience applying modern product management frameworks and practices in real‑world, scaled environments – and the credibility to drive adoption across teams.
  • Proven ability to bring structure, discipline, and consistency to organizations undergoing growth or transformation.
  • Comfort working with data, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.

  • Experience in complex, regulated, or platform-based environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Product Operating Model & Planning Own and evolve the product operating cadence, including annual and quarterly planning, roadmap development, prioritization and execution tracking.
  • Define and document the end‑to‑end product development lifecycle, from intake and discovery through delivery, launch, and optimization.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities (RACI) across each phase, ensuring accountability without duplication and eliminating ambiguity around ownership.
  • Ensure lifecycle expectations are consistently understood and followed across product, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Portfolio Visibility & Governance Provide end-to-end visibility into the product portfolio, including key initiatives, investments, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Support product leaders with structured decision-making frameworks and clear views of progress against goals.
  • Maintain consistency in product artifacts, documentation and communication across teams.
  • Release Process & Cadence Define and run a clear, consistent product release model including major and minor releases, planning timelines, readiness checkpoints, and post-release evaluation.
  • Own the end-to-end release process, serving as the point of orchestration across product, engineering, marketing, operations, sales and client-facing teams Establish standardized release artifacts, checklists, and centralized documentation to ensure predictable execution and clear communication
  • Metrics, Insights and Performance Management Define and operationalize product metrics that track delivery, adoption, quality, and business impact.
  • Create dashboards and executive-ready narrative that connect product work to measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Enablement Act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, finance and operations, ensuring common understanding of roles, responsibilities and connection points.
  • Improve coordination and handoffs across teams to reduce friction and accelerate delivery Support effective product launches/releases through readiness planning, internal enablement, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Process Improvement & Scale Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps in how product work gets done.
  • Design and implement improvements that increase speed, predictability, and quality as the organization grows Introduce, standardize, and continuously improve modern product management practices, including discovery, prioritization, roadmap management, requirements definition, and measurement.
  • Drive consistency in tooling, templates, frameworks and artifacts ensuring teams are aligned in how product work is defined, documented and delivered.
