Join us as our new Production Coordinator In this role you will be responsible for coordination of day-to-day production activities by providing people leadership, Continuous Improvement, and administrative support as needed. In this role you'll make an impact by: Leading and collaborating with cross‑functional teams on Continuous Improvement and Systematic Problem Solving initiatives, driving efficiency, safety, quality, and overall company strategy. Supporting production operations by partnering closely with the production supervisor, conducting shift/department meetings, assisting on the floor, and participating in decisions on new products or processes. Maintaining and improving safety culture and regulatory compliance through toolbox talks, PPE guidance, audits, corrective actions, and execution of programs aligned with state, federal, and local regulations. Overseeing quality and documentation processes, including reviewing production records, managing SOPs/WIs, addressing non‑conformities, and following up on deviations and observations. Tracking and reporting KPIs, recommending and implementing process improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and utilizing lean tools such as 5S to support continuous improvement. Assessing facility and equipment conditions and initiating maintenance work requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in a production environment preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to effectively communicate oral and written information and respond to questions from managers and other employees in a professional manner.
  • Possess a working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs and ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Possess working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and their application.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Shows initiative to improve work processes or question the status quo.
  • Physical ability to work in a production environment including but not limited to: stand, walk, bend, scoop, kneel, crouch, lift and/or move materials up to 55 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. assisted.
