Production Material Handler
About The Position
Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Manufacturing team! In this role, you will play a vital part in Warehouse operations and production activities in a biotechnology environment, utilizing your skills and expertise in the Warehouse. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials while assisting with basic product assembly and kitting tasks. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, or material handling
- Forklift certified
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic computer skills for inventory or warehouse systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or quality-controlled processes
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
- Experience with light assembly or kitting processes
Responsibilities
- Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations following FIFO/lot tracking procedures
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for production
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems or ERP software
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Perform light assembly of kits, components, or product packaging following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Label, package, and prepare finished goods for distribution
- Assist production teams with staging materials and preparing workstations
- Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and specifications
- Report material shortages, quality concerns, or process issues to supervisors
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company quality standards
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines
- Properly handle and store sensitive biological or laboratory materials when applicable
