This position is responsible to operate equipment in the Rout Department and is familiar with all operations necessary in producing a quality product in an efficient manner. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with a very high volume workload.

Requirements

  • Understanding/knowledge of CNC, in particular Hitachi / Excellon / Pluritec routers.
  • Knowledge in using calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic and utilize a ruler
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to work required shifts & overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and sit, stand, or bend for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Requires the ability to work safely with or come into contact with chemical, physical (radiation, noise, etc) or biological agents which may pose health or safety hazards if improperly handled
  • Ability to communicate in English language clearly both written and verbal.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates multiple machines as needed.
  • Works with Excellons, Schmoll, Hitachi routers and drillers, and Pluritec 2nd drill machines
  • Loads programs into machines
  • Troubleshoots any problems that may occur during process and consults with supervisor
  • Maintains equipment using a PM schedule
  • Works with other departments on job improvements
  • Cross train to help in all areas of the department
  • Works effectively and responsibly with others
  • All other assigned duties as required within the organization.
  • Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner
  • Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors/managers safety hazards and issues
  • Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department
  • Responsible to report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow directions identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) , PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts
