POSITION SUMMARY Lead and oversee daily production operations to meet customer demand while improving productivity, cost efficiency, quality, safety, and standardization. Monitor and analyze production activities, train employees in assembly and testing procedures, and ensure all safety and quality standards are maintained. Perform product assembly using hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment.

Requirements

  • AS/AAS in Engineering or equivalent discipline and/or equivalent working experience in an Electro-Mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience with an ERP/MRP system.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PP and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated Leadership ability.
  • Must be available for overtime and remain flexible with work schedules.
  • Proficient knowledge and skills of electrical-mechanical assembly techniques, tools, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to motivate, influence and train people.
  • Able to interact with employees at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure products are assembled and inspected according to project documentation and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production documentation, including visual assembly instructions, inspection databases, and final inspection checklists.
  • Troubleshoot production issues on the factory floor and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by developing procedures that enhance efficiency, increase product quality, and reduce operational costs.
  • Lead, train, and coach production team members while supporting production supervisors; role includes approximately 75% hands-on assembly work and 25% leadership responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with production resources to minimize material shortages and prevent work order delays.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve production challenges and ensure non-conformance issues and corrective actions are properly documented.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring products are ready for production with accurate documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as quality control, supply chain, and engineering to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, particularly in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments, to optimize workflow.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and participate in Kaizen events to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Assist the Operations team with additional initiatives to meet organizational and production goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
