About The Position

Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator the Summer Day Trip Attendant plays a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children in the summer programs. This position involves supervising participants, safely transporting participants in a program vehicle, facilitating activities, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. This seasonal position will primarily operate on Wednesdays throughout the summer, with additional programming on either select Tuesdays as scheduled. All shifts will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Individual trips may be cancelled based on registration.

  • Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants.
  • Supports the Director and staff in administration of medical protocols.
  • Ensures the camp staff are accurately implementing daily programs such as swimming, sports, games, arts & crafts, field trips and more.
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants, following protocol regarding the handling of behaviors and special needs of all participants.
  • Communicates all pertinent issues affecting activities to supervisors and other staff.
  • Establishes good rapport with families of participants as well as keeping them informed about any concerns affecting participants.
  • Organizes and maintains daily schedules of activities.
