About The Position

Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social/human services, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year of increasingly responsible technical or professional-level program experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a court or other legal environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate applicants’ eligibility for specialty court program participation
  • Gather program participants’ data
  • Create and maintain participant files
  • Enter data into a statewide database
  • Explain program rules, policies, forms, guidelines, and services
  • Track information related to performance measurements
  • Maintain spreadsheets
  • Report program-related statistics
  • Collaborate with community partners
  • Facilitate the exchange of information
  • Use your problem-solving skills to help program participants and improve the specialty court programs
  • Maintain the specialty court calendar
  • Schedule cases
  • Assist judges in the courtroom by recording specialty court sessions and performing other clerk duties as needed
  • Coordinate graduation ceremonies, training events, guest speakers, and program planning meetings
  • Answer phones and manage the supplies needed to operate the program
