Assists the program director in managing the residency by ensuring that regulatory and accreditation standards are met, educational activities that support the curriculum are established, departmental policies are created and enforced, and recruitment strategies are implemented so that a highly successful residency program is maintained. Manage the educational coordination between attending physicians, residents and medical students. Manage residency activities, support accreditation processes, including coordinating and actively participating in site visits. Maintain program files and records, and maintains open lines of communication.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • advanced knowledge of MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Thorough knowledge of applications and processes relevant to residency programs, including databases; resident application services; resident matching programs; resident licensure; visa regulations; accrediting bodies (e.g., ACGME, CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, and/or other discipline-specific accrediting and regulatory bodies).
  • Thorough knowledge of institution-specific accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with content management systems and/or web page development.
  • Experience with residency and/or medical student support
  • Notary Public Commission
