About The Position

The Program Manager plans and manages projects and/or programs, resource requirements, training needs, deliverables, and manages the design and testing of projects, inclusive of data management. May provide statistical analyses of quality improvement data. Overview The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by developing pediatric oncology, hematology, and rare disease clinical practice recommendations and guidelines, training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research. The ARIA Guide is a web portal with the mission to improve access to childhood cancer treatment plans and resources globally, particularly where internet connectivity is unreliable or difficult to access. This role is eligible to be remote. There may be some occasional travel involved with this role, 10% or less. Please submit a cover letter when applying.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
4+ years of experience in program management and delivery.
Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs.
Experience in program budget tracking, reporting and risk management.
Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision-making.
Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team, 2+ years of experience preferred.
Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects.
Able to draw insights from different sets of data and quickly understand why issues are happening.
Ability to carry out assignments with minimal supervision.
Exhibits basic grasp of project management process like scoping, scheduling, milestones, reporting, tools (MS project, etc.), and templates to support program planning and coordination.
Solves problems quickly by identifying the right causes.

Nice To Haves

Master’s and/or Doctorate degree in the clinical, oncology, and/or research field is desired.
2+ years of experience in healthcare informatics within clinical oncology, preferred.
Recent experience in future digital planning that include artificial intelligence (AI) aspects, preferred.
Clinical background is preferred.
Experience in prescribing pediatric oncology chemotherapy regimens is preferred.
Technical expertise would be great, but is not required.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of a program including defining objectives, approaches, goals, governance mechanisms, resource deployment, periodic reviews, contingency planning and periodic reporting and communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally to achieve defined outcomes aligned with departmental strategies.
Plan, manage, and support the continued future-forward technical needs of the program. This includes the oncology clinical information needed to transfer from the adapted management guideline and clinical practice recommendations to an online digital web portal(s).
Identify and define how artificial intelligence (AI) may assist, leverage, and benefit program aims.
Drive internal stakeholder management and communications, management of external vendors, and strong partnership with stakeholders inside and outside the institution.
Manage direct reports as well as supports other non-direct reporting staff and external contingent workers.
Track program and/or project success.
Provide oversight and management of program budgets through planning, control and tracking of expenditures.
Provide more complex analysis of data to create reports for senior leadership.
Occasional travel may be involved, 10% or less.
