About The Position

The YPSSN Statewide Program Manager serves as the project lead, supervising the YPSSN Regional Manager and providing statewide oversight of YPSSN to ensure the delivery of exceptional peer support services and compliance with all contractual requirements.

Requirements

The YPSSN Program Manager must have lived experience with Severe Emotional Disturbance or Severe Mental Illness
a bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. social services, education, rehabilitation, etc.)
at least two years of supervisory experience
a Valid State of Maine Driver's license as well as a registered/insured vehicle.
The YPSSN Program Manager must complete all requirements to obtain and maintain appropriate Maine certification in Peer Connect including Peer Connect for Supervisors.

Responsibilities

Attend both the Peer Connect training and Peer Connect Supervisors training to become Maine Peer Connect certified within the timeline set by the program, in addition to annually attending Peer Connect Learning Collaborative components to maintain Maine certification and all additional agency training.
Demonstrate an understanding of the core competencies established by the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Monitor data entry of all YPSN staff into the agency electronic record and tracking tool to ensure accurate data entry and tracking including, but not limited to, referrals, contacts, and all YPSSN activities.
Follow-up as necessary to address barriers to data entry and assist each region in meeting compliance expectations.
Provide supervision and support to YPSSN Regional Supervisors to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality Peer Support Services in accordance with the Peer Connect curriculum.
Partner with the Director of Quality Improvement and YPSSN Program Director to assist in the widespread dissemination of the quarterly Youth Satisfaction Survey.
Review Youth Satisfaction Survey results and share findings with Regional Supervisors - acknowledge successes and strategize ways to improve youth satisfaction.
Serve as the lead in arranging all collaborative meetings with the Department and serve as the primary contact person for the Department.
Monitor YPSSN staff training records in Relias to ensure all required training occurs within established deadlines.
Follow-up as necessary to ensure training occurs and notify the Executive Director of any patterns in delinquency.
Through case supervision with Reginal Supervisors, review data from the tracking tool, agency electronic record, and youth satisfaction surveys to identify performance strengths within their region and isolate any potential area for improvement - offering guidance as to shifts in practice that may need to occur to make necessary corrections.
Visit offices across the various regions during drop-in hours/other YPSSN scheduled activities to demonstrate support and observe practices, ensuring that each region is delivering services in accordance with the Peer Connect curriculum.
Review Youth Satisfaction Survey results with the agency management team in addition to strategies being deployed to address any areas of programmatic concern that are lending to a decrease in youth satisfaction.
Through supervision with Regional Supervisors, review the regional quarterly calendar of YPSSN events to ensure a minimum of 10 drop-in hours per month is being offered as well as a variety of workshops - looking for opportunities for Regional Supervisors to share resources and bring youth together statewide.
Review tracking tool results monthly to ensure each region and program in its entirety is on track in reaching performance goals and deliverables, reporting findings to the agency management team on a quarterly basis, and seeking guidance from the ED when results are not in compliance with contractual expectations.
Meet with the Statewide and Regional YAB Chairs on a minimum of a monthly basis to provide those areas in which assistance/input is being sought, gather input on areas they have assessed as of late, and to relay program performance results.
Serve as the main contact for the Statewide and Regional YAB Chairs to assist in offering technical assistance and/or linking the Board with technical assistance from YouthMove.
Maintain program's social media platforms, including Dischord.
Network and collaborate with community resources to build a robust schedule of activities/locations and manage those logistics.
