Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking an onsite Program Quality Technical Lead (PQTL) to serve within the SPY6 Program. This position requires experience in quality science and the ability to work closely with Engineering and Operations Quality to resolve complex issues in the TRIMM line. The PQTL will oversee FRB events, manage and present the status of complex problems, ensuring that program goals are accomplished while staying compliant to AS9100 requirements. The successful candidate will help safeguard the effective integration and implementation of RTX processes and procedures within the constraints of Raytheon Command Media. You will have a dynamic mindset and the ability to influence peers and offer creative solutions to complex problems that arise in a full rate production program, ensuring quality product meets on time delivery. You will collaborate closely with all Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Mission Assurance, Operations Quality, and suppliers within the TRIMM line of the SPY6 portfolio. You will also focus on driving a proactive approach and guiding CORE/APQP/Zero engagement with TRIMMs suppliers, who’s defects drive significant impact to the program. This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury MA

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior experience.
  • Certification as a Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) apprentice or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience leading teams in evaluation of failures, root cause, corrective and preventative action.
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • Working experience with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) resources.
  • Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
  • US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
  • Is Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) champion or another Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA and/or Control Plans.
  • Experience with Configuration Control System such as Common Product Data Management (cPDM) and/or Common As-Built System (CABS).
  • Experience Reviewing Contracts, FAR-DFAR requirements and/or Statement of Work (SOW) documents
  • Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Experience in guiding by influence, with discovery and resolution of issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs and factories.
  • Experience translating system requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly and test documentation as well meeting contractual requirements.
  • Experience working as an individual contributor and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation.
  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance.
  • Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality support functions to define the necessary steps to implement proactive quality strategies.
  • Participate in program Failure Review Boards (FRB) and review and work to resolve systemic Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) items recognized at the portfolio level.
  • Interface with Customer, DCMA and Tech Rep to support both Contractual and FAR-DFAR requirements as well as all technical items. Examples include Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Failure Investigation Team Meetings (FIT) or Test Data reviews on hardware down to the Circuit Card Assembly level.
  • Guide and participate in CORE/Zero/APQP projects in both internal work cells and suppliers, driving proactive thinking and preventative results.
  • Oversee root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Travel to suppliers up to 15% of the time
