Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’sdegree
  • 2+ years ofpreviousresidential life experience (summer camp, boarding school, college campus etc.)
  • Tworeferencesrequired
  • Have an outgoing disposition and an enthusiasm for working with high school students and college-agedstaff
  • Flexible and comfortable takinginitiatives
  • The ability to use sound judgement, enforce rules and assume a leadershiprole
  • Hasan interest inthelocalculture and is comfortable exploring it with students
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, travelupand down stairs, crouch, stoop, and reach.
  • Ability tolift upto 25 lbs.
  • All staff will be working closely with minors and will need to pass a criminal background check and successfully complete all training.
  • All positions will require use of one’s personal cell phone.

Responsibilities

  • Support the RHAD in program management and supervision ofProgram Counselors
  • Attend and co-lead weekly staffmeetings
  • Act in a management role during check-in and check-out days, ensuring delivery of customer service and a smooth processoverall
  • Manage student and staff interactionsthrough the use ofstudent managementsoftware
  • Oversee staffscheduling
  • Casemanagestudent accommodations and issues as they arise and refer accordingly
  • Assistwith daily student affairs duties, including resource triage and incident followup
  • Support and present student orientation and community buildingactivities
  • Manage and track petty cash use amongstaff
  • Attend co-curricular events andactivities
  • Oversee and manage the boxed lunch ordering and disseminationprocess
  • Submit and follow up on work orders for maintenance issues in the residencehall
  • Abide byCurfewand Proximitypolicy,when scheduled(see below)
  • Step in, only when needed, to On-Call Duty and Back Up On-Call rotation (see below)
  • Other duties as assigned
