About The Position

The State of Mississippi is seeking an experienced Programmer – Data Reporting to support federal reporting requirements. This is an individual contributor role focused on rebuilding and validating data reporting processes using modern industry standards. The role emphasizes statistical modeling, data analysis, and documentation using R and SQL.

Requirements

• 5+ years of R programming and statistical analysis
• Strong experience with SQL (development and querying)
• Hands-on experience with R Studio
• Experience with data reporting and analytics
• Familiarity with UAT, deployment, and Agile
• Experience with Power BI
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in Windows 7/10 environments

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to ADABAS/Natural (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance statistical reporting models in R
• Rewrite and validate existing data reporting and coding processes
• Document business rules, logic, and revisions
• Perform development, back-testing, deployment, and UAT
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
• Support federal reporting and compliance standards (FIPS)
• Deliver clear technical documentation and presentations
