About The Position

The Coordinator for Universal Response to Domestic Violence (URDV), oversees the coordinated community response to domestic violence in Dutchess County. Operating under the under the direction of the Steering Committee for Universal Response to Domestic Violence and the Executive Board of Statewide Targeted Reductions in Intimate Partner Violence (STRIVE), the Coordinator convenes and engages stakeholders to ensure a unified, survivor-centered approach. The Coordinator drives continuous improvement through ongoing assessment of system and community needs, resource capacity and stakeholder readiness. Enthusiastically supports, practices, and communicates agency's mission and statement of values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, public policy, human services or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration and supervision is required.
  • Candidate must possess experience with multi-agency collaboration, grants management, report writing and drafting high level funder and stakeholder communications.
  • Candidate should have understanding of domestic violence, criminal and civil justice systems and trauma informed care.
  • Proficiency in coordinating and sustaining multi-agency collaborative frameworks
  • Effective communicator with the ability to foster collaboration and maintain productive relationships across disciplines
  • Excellent project management, meeting facilitation, and organizational skills to oversee dynamic, multi-disciplinary initiatives
  • Ability to synthesize data and feedback into actionable strategies for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently, in a collaborative environment and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in standard software tools (e.g. Microsoft Office) for documentation and reporting
  • Cultural competence and ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences with compassion
  • Aptitude for public speaking and presenting
  • Capacity for completing administrative tasks with ‘out of the box’ thinking and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Dependability, Resourcefulness and transparency in all tasks
  • Coordinator is required to be available to community partners as needed outside of traditional business hours for high level advocacy and coordination as needed. An agency cell phone is provided.
