About The Position

Martin/Martin is seeking a licensed, experienced structural engineer in support of projects in our Atlanta, Georgia office. The hired individual will support our Structural Engineering organization across diverse markets such as healthcare, commercial, office, sports, entertainment, and education. While this role's specific projects are located in Georgia, Martin/Martin’s national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country. About Martin/Martin, Inc. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.
  • Completed a minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 6 years of progressive engineering experience
  • 1 year of professional experience equivalencies include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, OR passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Atlanta area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
  • Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects

  • Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from start of design to completion of construction
  • Demonstrates effective internal and external communication skills
  • Shows strong commitment to continued professional development
  • Participating member of at least one professional and/or technical society
  • Demonstrates willingness to take on additional work and responsibility
  • 2 years’ experience as a Professional Engineer. Passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead and manage engineering and technician staff to successfully complete projects
  • Client Interaction: Build relationships with the project team and serve as the primary point-of-contact for clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases
  • Planning and Budgeting: Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff, assisting with their career development
