About The Position

WSP USA is seeking a Project Manager/Construction Manager to manage Capital Improvement Projects. Paramount to this is a Project Manager who understands airport airfield design and construction and all its systems including deicing and environmental mitigation of waters of the US. A successful candidate will need significant experience in Airfield work and have previously managed design and construction within an active airport environment. This position will be based in the greater Nashville, TN area. The Project Manager Leads the successful development and implementation of a MNAA Capital Project. Provides direction and input on projects from design development stage through construction. Acts as MNAA primary representative on a project, will oversee engineering/architectural design, bid/RFP/RFQ evaluation, contract administration, project scheduling, coordination, inter-utility coordination, quality control, field decisions and supervision to ensure projects are completed within the stipulated time and allocated budget. Facilitates coordination with other MNAA divisions, project stakeholders and regulatory agencies (MNAA staff, airlines, concessionaires, Fed/State/local government agencies including, Metro Codes, TSA, FAA, USCoE etc.) as appropriate. Manage or perform cost estimates and projections/cash flow/estimate at completion for projects. Schedule and conduct design and construction progress meetings. Establish standards for meeting minutes, records, etc. and ensures Designers and Contractors are meeting MNAA quality standards. Prepare records required for federal or state reimbursement. Ensure that documents are in compliance with applicable federal and state equal opportunity legislation. Coordinate activities with outside agencies to assure timely completion of all projects. Utilize electronic tools including Procore, MS Project, CADD system, and other computer systems. Coordinates construction maintenance of traffic and phasing plans, utility shutdown requests, impact notices, disruption notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed. Compile and analyze technical data and prepare reports concerning project related activities. Manage and present updates in weekly meetings and executive meetings as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline, or additional years of relevant experience considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7-10+ Years of experience in relevant Project Management, Construction Management, or Aviation roles.
  • Airport Experience is required.
  • Must successfully complete and pass Motor Vehicle screening.
  • Hire is contingent upon client approval, being able to obtain an airport badge, and the successful completion of a background check which will be initiated upon receipt of your signed offer letter. Also, as a condition of employment, it is required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residency in the U.S., or current authorization to work in the U.S. within (3) days of your start date.
