The Project Manager works independently and with other staff to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of projects. This position is accountable for results related to on time and on budget completion of projects including scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring for goal achievement. The Project Manager works with the Regional Project/Maintenance Manager and Sr. Regional Manager, Operational Excellence to prepare comprehensive action plans, for resources such as inventory and equipment, all within project completion timeframes. This role will be responsible for monitoring or updating capital expenditure budgets while notifying Airgas management for new funds should the budget accelerate. The role will coordinate tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation. The Project Manager is required to create piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) using AutoCad and verify process equipment matches the P&ID. The Project Manager is required to prepare all Management of Changes (MOCs) related to the projects and coordinate all of Northeast’s MOCs. The Project Manager may also assist with Northeast’s Quality program. This includes ISO/ QC audits and will coordinate and assist the operations team with the customer complaint system. Responsible for project management involving the complex installation of Air Gas equipment.
