Our Asset Selection team works with and supports both public and private companies as well as academics and entrepreneurs. We are also actively engaged in forming new companies through our own in-house discovery efforts. The Project Manager will be a force multiplier for RTW’s internal Research Data Management department (internally called “OMNI”). They will own core research operations, run the team’s operating cadence, and PM cross-functional research initiatives, collaborating closely with Research Specialists and Analysts. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, high competency in project management, and strong stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience on project management or research operations (preferably biopharma/life sciences/finance adjacent).
  • Strong project management toolkit (timelines, risk/issue tracking, stakeholder updates); delivers within timelines with clarity and transparency.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized; excellent written and verbal communication across junior and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, Trello, etc).
  • Must be able to work from our New York City office 4-5 days per week.

  • exposure to operations/ chief-of-staff/research operations work; comfort writing SOPs/playbooks and building dashboards/metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive weekly priorities and quarterly planning, coordinating sponsor meetings, and organizing stakeholder updates of team achievements for OMNI team
  • Own the medical conference tracker spanning 200+ events/year
  • Manage research vendors end-to-end (onboarding, renewals), escalate and resolve user challenges, and maintain strong relationships
  • Serve as project manager for Specialist projects – coordinate pilots of new research workflows, align stakeholders, and make go/no-go recommendations with rationale and next steps
  • Build rollout plans (trainings, research pilots, new vendors) and measure adoption against targets
  • The listed responsibilities are not comprehensive, and additional tasks may be assigned as required
