Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the management of one or more projects. Must have a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and execute the same in strict accordance with the standards defined by the Ryder PMO. This position will interact with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget. PMO Project Managers are expected to report progress to all stakeholders, identify early warning signs and effectively communicate status and trend of their projects. PMO Project Managers escalate issues to executive steering committee members, facilitate decision making, document decisions and communicate direction to project team accordingly. Travel may be required on some projects.
