About The Position

ASRC Federal AFSS is seeking a Project Support Specialist / Property Custodian to provide support to a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD. Job Description: Provide customer-facing front office and property custodian support to the James Webb Space Telescope Project Management office at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

  • Bachelors degree and 2-4 years of experience or 4-6 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front office and administrative project support to the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Project Office by greeting visitors, directing personnel, and providing general information in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Deliver comprehensive business and administrative support, including document review, records management, meeting coordination, and calendar maintenance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and responsiveness.
  • Manage conference room operations, including maintaining the Conference Room Outlook calendar, resolving scheduling conflicts, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the space is orderly and meeting-ready.
  • Ensure Conference Room and other shared meeting spaces remain organized and properly configured for meetings, including verifying audiovisual equipment functionality and resetting the space after use.
  • Assist with office moves and reconfigurations, including coordinating phones, computers, floor plans, moving supplies, and submitting service requests.
  • Serve as the Property Custodian for the project, including receiving, distributing, tracking, and returning equipment in accordance with NASA policies and procedures.
  • NAMS Request IT Approver in compliance with NASA guidelines, including the NPR 7120.7 framework.
  • Receive, distribute, and track incoming orders, deliveries, and project materials.
  • Order, track, and maintain office supplies using AMMS; ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Provide backup administrative and project support for the Astrophysics Division (APD) as needed, assisting with scheduling, meeting coordination, document preparation, and general office operations.
  • Support PhysCos/COR outreach initiatives, assisting with coordination of outreach activities, communications, and administrative support as needed.
  • Assist with planning and supporting PhysCos/COR conferences, including logistics coordination, registration support, materials preparation, and on-site administrative assistance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
