EPM’s Corporate Strategy & Operations Intern will have exposure to multiple operational leaders throughout the organization, and will be responsible for documenting, analyzing, and improving property-level and corporate-level processes. Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Asset Management & Corporate Strategy, the intern will work closely with Department Heads to learn departmental workflows, identify areas for improvement, and assist in developing procedures that enhance efficiency, clarity, and consistency across the organization. Strong written communication and technical documentation skills Ability to organize complex information in a clear, logical manner Process-oriented and detail-focused mindset Ability to collaborate with both corporate and onsite teams Strong listening and information-gathering skills ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Review existing property operations procedures, manuals, and training materials Conduct working sessions or interviews with operations leaders to document current processes and procedures Conduct research into industry best practices and identify elements that could potentially enhance EPM Operational practices. Assist in creating, editing, and organizing a centralized operations manual Standardize procedures, workflows, checklists, and templates used by property teams Ensure documentation is clear, user-friendly, and scalable across properties Assist with version control and organization of operational documents Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operational efficiency Perform all other duties as assigned. SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Pursuing a degree in Business, Operations Management, Hospitality, or a related field Strong writing or documentation experience preferred Interest in property management, operations, or process improvement a plus Prior internship, coursework, or project experience is a plus but not required PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently sit, stand and walk. Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary. Capstone Project: Property Operations Manual Development Objective: Create or significantly enhance a centralized operations manual that supports consistent property-level execution. Project Components: Gather input from property operations leaders and field teams Document core operational procedures and best practices Organize content into a clear, user-friendly structure Identify gaps or areas requiring future development Final Deliverables: Draft Property Operations Manual Standardized checklists, workflows, and templates Table of contents and version control plan Recommendations for ongoing maintenance and updates Presentation Focus: How the manual supports consistency, training, and operational excellence.
