About The Position

This role is approved for full time remote work. As part of the Corporate Office, the Proposal Writer plays a critical role in securing new business opportunities by crafting compelling, clear, and persuasive proposals tailored to client needs within the 'Other Services' industry sector. Your work will directly impact the organization's growth by effectively communicating our value proposition and differentiators in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other solicitation documents. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and subject matter experts to gather relevant information and ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements. The role demands a strategic mindset to structure proposals that not only meet but exceed client expectations, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards. Ultimately, your contributions will help position the company as a trusted partner and drive successful contract awards across diverse service offerings nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing or technical writing, preferably within the services industry.
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Ability to interpret complex solicitation documents and translate requirements into compelling written content.
  • Proficiency with standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the 'Other Services' industry or a similar service-oriented sector.
  • Familiarity with proposal management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of government or commercial procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Project management experience related to coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Advanced writing certifications or training in persuasive/business writing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents to understand client requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Develop and write clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content that aligns with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as sales, technical experts, and legal teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy.
  • Manage proposal timelines and coordinate the review and approval process to meet submission deadlines.
  • Maintain a repository of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and best practices to streamline future proposal development.
