About The Position

If you are an Engineer with experience in control systems and/or process operations, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! We are looking to add a Proposal Engineer for Power Projects to our Cranberry Township, PA office. You will be an essential part of the North America Power Projects Proposals organization as a proposal engineer leading US datacenters and AI proposal support. You will lead the preparation of power project offers for our customers in the power industry, including new generation, retrofits, and renewable power. This role will be supporting our Power and Water Solutions business. Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with control systems such as PLC, DCS, or SCADA.
  • Knowledge of or experience with the Ovation™ DCS platform.
  • Background in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
  • Experience working with datacenter applications or customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare DCS proposals for power industry projects, including new generation, retrofits, renewable power applications, and datacenter/AI‑focused solutions.
  • Define proposal strategies that align with customer requirements, organizational goals, and market insights.
  • Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs.
  • Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations using deep understanding of customer applications and industry competition.
  • Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.
