About The Position

The Prospect Research Analyst is an integral member of the corporate fundraising team. The Prospect Analyst is responsible for identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for major gift cultivation and solicitation. This research and analysis serves as the foundation of corporate and local fundraising initiatives and directly contributes to the success of those initiatives. Through use of modeling and wealth screening tools, the Prospect Analyst provides consultation to identify and qualify major gift prospects that have the propensity and capacity to support both system-wide and local initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 years of fundraising and research experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM system

Responsibilities

  • Prospect Research: Compile, analyze, and verify biographical and financial information of past, present, and potential donors, including their business and institutional affiliations, giving histories, and past philanthropic tendencies to produce substantive, accurate, and well-written profiles outlining their career, financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and the nature of their connection to Shriners Children’s.
  • Assist in developing fundraising recommendations and participating in strategic planning efforts to help build our major gift pipeline.
  • Adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of Shriners Children’s, HIPAA, and Apra at all times.
  • Prospect Management: Supports the prospect information needs of Shriners Children’s fundraising teams, makes recommendations to increase pipeline philanthropic capacity, including, but not limited to, the validation of wealth ratings from our vendors.
  • Data Management: Support prospect wealth screening and data integrity projects, as requested.
  • Participate in CRM entry, updating, and reporting as needed in support of prospect research and analysis projects.
  • Special Projects: PRM team special projects as assigned by supervisor or senior director.
  • Professional Development: Remain current and knowledgeable in prospect development news, best practices, and trends to improve the PRM team’s offerings and approaches.
  • As budget and time allow, attend Apra, AHP, AASP, etc. webinars and other professional development opportunities.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
