About The Position

General responsibilities are to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs to properly acknowledge, recognize and steward gifts of all levels to The Salvation Army. This position’s role is to assist in building and strengthening relationships with donors and donor prospects by partnering with development officers to determine the best strategies for effective stewardship of donors. Conducts research, prepares, and provides profiles and reports on potential and identified annual and campaign major gifts donors/prospects to aid in their solicitation for various forms of gifts. Assists with maintaining a comprehensive donor research library and remains current in the use of these materials. Assists Development team in analysis of individual, foundation and corporate donors and suggests cultivation/ solicitation strategies. This Position is Responsible For: Manages the Donor Care Program Serves as a key donor-facing contact for gift questions and account updates Manages communications and stewardship for the Community Supporters tier 1 donors portfolio ($1 to $249), ensuring timely acknowledgments, accurate records, and clear donor support Supports Donor Pipeline Strategy by working with the Individual Giving Team

Requirements

  • Knowledge of effective and efficient methods for organizing and maintaining records and ability to perform the same.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of fund-raising management.
  • Knowledge of intermediate to advance CRM software and/or similar software.
  • Knowledge of intermediate to advanced MS Office Software.
  • Ability to maintain the security and accountability of donated funds and/or assets.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Salvation Army officers, employees, member of advisory organizations, and the community.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in liberal arts or related field, and Three years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in fund development or related, with prior Raiser’s Edge experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
