Public Health Business Analyst The Opportunity: You know that true progress for public health data modernization is made at the intersection of client mission and tech, and as an information technology (IT) business analyst, you’re highly skilled in both. Here, you’ll have the chance to support an agile team as they develop digital products to solve your clients’ most pressing missions. We’re looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences. As an IT business analyst, you’ll analyze public health and laboratory requirements and translate them into IT requirements through site visits, requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary stakeholders. You’ll apply your knowledge of public health and laboratory processes to support solution design with a development team. You'll apply risk management and quality control principles as well as develop project and system documentation, including technical requirements and design. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing client-ready deliverables, including reports and PowerPoint presentations
  • 2+ years of experience executing Agile practices and supporting the software development life cycle
  • 2+ years of experience with technical writing
  • 1+ years of experience gathering requirements and translating them into system specifications, including documenting requirements in software development collaboration platforms, and creating process maps and mockups
  • Ability to communicate system functionality and business and system requirements with laboratory end-users, software engineers, and software testers
  • Ability to learn new IT systems quickly, conduct root cause analysis, and offer advice on how the LIMS can be used to improve laboratory processes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience configuring LIMS for HL7 messaging
  • Experience facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience training end-users in a complex software application
  • Experience writing queries and creating reports using SQL, Power BI, Databricks, or Palantir Foundry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Biological Sciences, or a related field
