The Public Health Emergency Preparedness Representative III will be a part of a regional office team dedicated to improving the capacity of local government entities, institutional providers, and private practitioners to respond to all-hazards incidents. The incumbent will maintain primary responsibility for activities, functions and contract deliverables pertaining to acute and long term care facilities. Specific duties will include: serving as a liaison between acute and long term care facilities and NYSDOH Regional and Central Office staff regarding emergency preparedness and all hazard response issues; working with facilities to ensure that emergency preparedness grant contract deliverables are appropriately communicated and addressed; serving as a resource to facilities to support the development of facility specific emergency preparedness/all-hazard response plans and the integration of those plans with overarching county and regional plans; working with facilities to determine training needs and contributing to the development, implementation and assessment of drills and exercises. Other appropriate related duties as assigned.
