About The Position
You will be the key liaison between Sun Wholesale Supply operations and our supplier partners. The job involves monitoring inventory levels and working directly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will be instrumental in achieving cost savings through negotiations and contract implementation, manage supplier relationships and ensure that suppliers are delivering on key performance indicators. This is a critical role that requires a strong sense of urgency, great communications skills, and the desire to make a measurable and immediate impact on the business. Requirements
- 3 years or more of supply chain experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with JD Edwards/AS400 desirable.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret purchasing signals based on a weekly inventory report.
- Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to obtain materials, at lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and other requirements.
- Analyze quotations, select suppliers, enter purchase orders, and schedule deliveries.
- Negotiate pricing and terms.
- Follow up on orders to expedite shipment and delivery.
- Verify deliveries match the assigned purchase order and report any variances to the supplier.
- Resolve quality and delivery issues.
- Develop strong and productive relationships with suppliers.
- Understand products purchased to explain key benefits and features.
- Analyze and present data and provide recommendations based on key variables.
