Summary Responsible for acquiring materials and documents to fulfill requests for purchases, including preparing requests for quotes and handling inquiries about orders.

Requirements

Previous parts purchasing experience
Strong time management skills
Extremely detail oriented and accurate
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Set priorities and adapt to changing work priorities while meeting deadlines and schedules
Proficient on a computer and can learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must be able to work independently and create innovative solutions to problems with minimal direction from supervisors.
A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
High school diploma or the equivalent
The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday plus, any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands.
The majority of work performed in our office setting.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative and clerical support to the department.
Setup new part numbers in M3
Keeps current on new products and product updates.
Assist in providing quotes/costs of parts
Transfers stock between warehouses
Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
Review any inventory discrepancies and provide guidance if necessary.
Review pricing from vendors and update items as necessary.
Follow up on back ordered purchase orders and communicate delivery dates of incoming parts.
Follow up with vendors when items shipped are less than quantity on PO.
Match purchase orders with invoices / order acknowledgments
