About The Position

As a QA Engineer at Stanford Federal Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of our members. In addition to performing hands-on work, you’ll support the team by creating and executing test plans, writing automated scripts, and ensuring every release meets a high standard of reliability and customer value. You’ll test a broad set of features from digital web applications to backend batch jobs. This role requires someone who’s passionate about quality, detail-oriented testing, and building automation that accelerates release velocity. Requirements

  • 3–5 years in QA with a focus on automation for web, APIs, and batch workflows.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend processes (including batch jobs).
  • Familiarity with testing JSON/XML, web services, and data validations.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and agile delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, Postman, or similar.
  • Basic programming or scripting ability (JavaScript, or equivalent), knowledge of SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience building or enhancing automation frameworks (UI and/or API), including reporting and CI integration.
  • Experience contributing to automation framework design or optimization.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps concepts.
  • Experience validating mobile, responsive, or cross-browser behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites across web features and backend/batch workflows.
  • Build, extend, and maintain automated UI and API tests using modern frameworks; contribute to continuous integration of test execution.
  • Test functionality, integration, system, regression, and UAT scenarios across both user-facing digital flows and non-UI batch processes.
  • Prepare and manage test data used across projects to support accurate and repeatable test runs.
  • Document, triage, and troubleshoot defects; collaborate with engineers to validate fixes and support root-cause analysis.
  • Documents traceability from user stories/requirements → tests → defects; helps shape acceptance criteria with product/design/engineering.
  • Work closely within a cross-functional team, contributing to quality strategy and participating in release readiness activities.
  • Support continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing standards.
