About The Position

Our Goodyear facility manufactures premium optical acrylic sheet which is used primarily in high performance aerospace applications like fighter jet canopies and aircraft windows. GENERAL SUMMARY The Quality Associate tests product batches audits and monitors manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Tests production maintains Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing Quality Control environment performing in-process, final, and incoming inspections.
  • Strong understanding of inspection methods, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment where temperatures may exceed 100°F.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, and other required safety gear.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or quality management systems (ISO 9001/AS9100) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Document inspection results, discrepancies, and corrective actions in accordance with established quality management systems.
  • Maintain and complete all required Quality Control documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Generate non-conformance and defect reports as required.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed quality reports for management review.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
