Position Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Inspector Lead follows established procedures to perform activities associated with the sampling, inspection, testing, and examination of incoming materials, mixtures, in-process materials, finished products, and releases. This position is Monday- Friday, 3rd shift.

Requirements

  • Experience and/or Education: By training, education and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Successfully completed QC Inspector certification levels or has had previous experience as a lead in a manufacturing environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • The QCI Lead is the lead trainer and assessor for QCI new hires, continuing certification, and process training.
  • Verification of QC and Operations processes: 1. Verifies AQL checks in Encapsulation, Powderfill, and Packaging 2. QC verifications of Inventory status dispositions including NCMs 3. QC Champion on Incidents and Investigation reports 4. Implements process improvements
  • Participates in and/or leads, as needed, QCI departmental meetings.
  • Conducts weekly Audit walks.
  • Supports and monitors cGMP activities throughout the process.
  • Tracks QCI consumables goods and order, as needed.
  • Is knowledgeable of the QCI’s responsibilities, experience, education, competencies, and physical demands.
  • Actively participate in required training, development programs, and electives, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.
  • Promotes the Company’s Mission and Values, including an accountable, innovative, and results-oriented culture that promotes customer service, openness, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect.
  • Holds turnover meetings with each shift on all follow up items that need to be passed on.
  • Fills in for supervisor as needed for meetings when supervisor is unable to attend.
  • Covers supervisor duties when supervisor is out of office.
