Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer Intern at the Columbus, NE location. Support our Vishay 3.0 "Think Customer First" approach by helping to build robust quality systems where compliance meets innovation. Drive excellence through PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) automation and system mastery. Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a two- or four-year college/university.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or Computing Science emphasis.
  • Predominant focus in troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Extensive computer knowledge, including the use of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Power Point.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), IATF16949, and PPAP requirements.
  • Assist in automating and optimizing the PPAP process to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and structure PPAP data for seamless integration into new software systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and quality teams to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and International Quality Standards.
  • Other development may include conducting measuring system analysis, maintenance of pFMEAs, and supporting customer complaint investigations using the 8D problem-solving methodology.
