Emerald Technologies Brea, CA site is seeking a driven and experienced Quality Engineering Manager to lead our Quality Engineering and Inspection teams in delivering world‑class PCBA manufacturing performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA or electronics manufacturing with increasing responsibility in quality roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100; experience with ISO 13485 or NADCAP is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SPC, MSA, capability studies, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA processes, including soldering, reflow, AOI, X‑ray, ICT, and functional testing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data, lead discussions, and interface effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Quality Engineering and Inspection teams, ensuring consistent execution of quality standards and operational excellence.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of quality engineering practices, including SPC, MSA, capability studies, and data‑driven process controls.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer requirements.
  • Drive root‑cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians to build a high‑performing quality organization.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and customers to resolve issues, support audits, and strengthen quality processes.
  • Oversee nonconforming material processes, MRB activities, and product/process investigations, ensuring timely and accurate disposition and feedback.
