Starkey is hiring a Quality Engineering Technician onsite at it's global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. The Quality Engineer Technician is responsible for providing technical support for Quality Groups. Responsibilities include troubleshooting products, determine action items and resolving problems, evaluation of components, and processes, collection of data. Perform evaluation and qualification testing of hearing aids and their accessories, components and processes. Document results with written reports. Perform validations. Follow work request to perform all validation tests and report to Quality Engineer any discrepancies. Communicate Quality issues to Quality groups. Provide manufacturing support. Communicate quality issues to the quality engineer. Perform failure analyze/Troubleshooting to discover failure modes and mechanisms. Use troubleshooting skills and laboratory equipment effectively to find the root-cause of the failures. Process Test Report Requests for timely completion. Results Test Report request output and workflow Test Report accuracy Operation & maintenance of quality lab equipment Ensure organizational flow of quality lab area

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with hearing aids or 3 years related technology.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational/documentation skills required.
  • Excellent analytical skills required.
  • Ability to read schematics required.
  • Ability to follow written test plans independently.
  • Good communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CQT Certification is preferred
  • Strong soldering skills desirable.
  • Knowledge of electronics preferred.
