About The Position

Hohman Plating, a division of Novaria Group, is a leading service provider for plated coatings. We serve a diversified customer base including aerospace, medical, large equipment and more. In business since 1918, we are seeking long-term employees to join our team. Conveniently located one mile north of downtown Dayton. Hohman Plating offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, Life, 401K match, Bonus and more. Applicants must be a US Citizen and 18 years of age. Training on 1st shift up to 60 days. 7am-3:30pm. 2nd shift hours: 3pm - 11:30pm Monday to Friday. Must be open to some overtime. SUMMARY OF JOB This position will flex between inspection and planning to cover work volume as required day-to-day.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum 1-3 years related experience and/or training
Prior data entry experience
Must have the ability to type approx. 35 wpm.
Pass purchase order comparative test
Read blueprints

Nice To Haves

Plating, Coatings experience
Measurement device calibration experience
Quality system experience: ISO, AS, Nadcap, etc.
Small machine shop level production/inspection experience
Previous paint shop/production/inspection experience
Inventory, small machine shop planning experience

Responsibilities

Prior Inspection Experience (1-3 years)
Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers
Blueprint Experience: Interpreting requirements, dimensional tolerances, etc.
Plating, Coatings experience a plus
Measurement device calibration experience
Quality system experience: ISO, AS, Nadcap, etc.
Small machine shop level production/inspection experience relates well to our process. Previous paint shop/production/inspection experience could relate well to our processes.
Inventory, small machine shop planning experience would relate well to the planning aspects of this hybrid role
Other duties may be assigned.
