About The Position

Essential Functions: Performing physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications. Gathering data on quality issues, analyzing results, and identifying trends. Maintaining records of inspections, tests, & findings, and reporting any deviations from quality standards. Working with production, engineers, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues. Support the Quality Management System through Document Control activities to maintain all the documents updated. Suggesting and implementing improvements to production processes to enhance quality and reduce defects. Ensuring that testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly. Participate in training new employees on quality procedures and standards. Be able to support under emergencies with chemical analysis as a needed. This can be on weekend and / or holidays. Built relationships with hourly and salary teams and maintains open communication with production to keep updated on any issues affecting production or customers. Shares information throughout the facility pertaining to customer feedback and interaction in an effort to continually improve the internal system and eliminate customer concerns. Acts as a resource to the quality and production departments on quality specifications, quality testing methods, etc. Top 3 Competencies Needed for Success in the Role: Safety and Quality Focus Empowers and Develops Pasion for Excellence

Requirements

  • Excellent communication & human relation skills.
  • Also well-developed interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to effectively interact with all levels.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Strong computer skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years glass manufacturing experience
  • Able to work on the weekends / holidays if its needed.
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
