As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.Description:The successful candidate will join the Central Quality Management team at Plant Spartanburg, which is responsible for process quality management. The intern will receive on-the-job training focused on developing new digital solutions to support product and process quality improvements. Responsibilities include planning and supporting digitalization projects that enhance Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and drive departmental efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Python, and SQL.
  • Must be flexible, able to multitask, possess keen time-management skills, and have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
  • Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • Must provide the following paperwork in English.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and work with modern software tools, focusing on app programming, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
  • Participate in, or supervise, exciting innovation projects.
  • Gain insights into the global innovation network.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments in Spartanburg and abroad, as well as external business partners.
  • Explore new data and analytics tools (e.g., Snowflake, DART, AWS Quicksight) to optimize existing solutions.
