Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We have an opportunity for a Quality Notification (QN) Coordinator to be based in Columbus, GA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • 2 or more years of related experience
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with ability and desire to enable productive cooperation between multiple stakeholders in support of QN material processing.
  • Experience in Quality Systems: A strong background in quality systems, continuous improvement, and quality systems documentation is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) may be beneficial.
  • SAP Proficiency: Proficiency in SAP is essential for tasks related to quality notifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is required when reviewing documentation and managing quality processes.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in processing of Quality Notifications in Solumina and/or ERP (SAP).
  • Skilled in navigating Solumina to confirm work instruction and routing requirements.
  • Prior quality inspection experience, especially in aerospace or automotive.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing facility.
  • Quality control or quality assurance experience in an manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience making decisions on conforming versus nonconforming material.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all EH&S rules and guidelines.
  • Assist Engineering and Manufacturing to properly disposition parts running through the Material Review Board Process.
  • Support general organization and maintenance of MRB Crib
  • Coordinating 502 task closures with Engineering Support
  • Coordinating rework traveler generation for differing defect/part types between MRB, ME, QE or MQE personnel.
  • Nonconforming Material Control: Controlling and reviewing quality documents related to nonconforming material and its final dispositions.
  • Reviewing production team nonconforming material interim storage/control to ensure compliance with Pratt standards. A primary focus in this area will be the disk side "blue rooms".
  • Facilitate communications between MRB and DCMA, customer service or other stakeholders.
  • Documentation Review and Management: Ensuring accurate and complete documentation related to quality notifications and potentially managing quality system documents and forms on platforms like SharePoint.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Interacting with Quality Engineers, inspectors and material review engineers to review parts with physical and documentation issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: Reviewing supplier inputs and assessing their root cause analyses and corrective actions for identified defects.
  • Process Improvement: Supporting improvement projects and driving solutions to address gaps and potential delays in the QN process.
  • SAP System Utilization: Proficiency in using SAP for tasks relating to input, processing, and retrieval of information related to quality notifications.
  • Communication: Facilitating communication related to quality issues, both internally and potentially with external suppliers.
  • Reporting: Managing and generating reports related to quality notifications and corrective actions, potentially for review boards.
