About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military. Requirements

  • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 0-2 Years of experience in quality assurance or related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists, and test procedures.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
  • Ability to use advanced inspection tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
  • Experience using quality management software.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in set-up and calibration tasks alongside engineers.
  • Perform rework and quality assurance procedures related to production operations.
  • Use specialized software to collect and evaluate data for quality assessments.
  • Document results of quality assurance and control processes.
  • Derive quality requirements from contracts and apply Quality Codes to Purchase requests.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify inspection points in product design and Manufacturing Work Instructions.
  • Interface with customer and Government Quality Representatives on quality issues.
  • Assist in developing inspection schedules and quality assurance plans.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
