About The Position

The L3Harris Quality organization is seeking a detail oriented Electrical Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of space flight components and assemblies. This role may also include testing, analysis, and auditing of complex products and processes such as microelectronics, optical components, mechanical assemblies, test equipment, and fully integrated systems to ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise, accurate inspections
  • Proficiency with mechanical and/or electrical inspection tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Effective communication skills including clear documentation and reporting along with strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments
  • Familiarity with SPC methodologies and other quality improvement tools
  • Knowledge of NASA standards, IPC certifications, and GD&T principles

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of precision mechanical and electrical components to verify conformance to specifications and engineering drawings
  • Measure critical dimensions using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to validate inspection criteria
  • Accurately document inspection results and complete required final inspection reports
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to strengthen the quality management system
  • Conduct audits of products and processes and record inspection findings as well as perform quality audit functions across manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to communicate quality issues and support root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Assist in developing and refining inspection procedures and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ensure an organized, clean work area, and maintain company quality inspection plans and procedures
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
