Job Summary: The Quality Technician II at Jabil, Inc. performs moderately complex quality assurance activities to ensure products meet established standards and specifications, supporting production processes and problem-solving efforts.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field or related discipline preferred.
2-4 years of experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, 8D, FMEA).
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Demonstrated proficiency with various inspection and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM basics a plus).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-process and final inspections, tests, and measurements on products, components, and materials to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Utilize various measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of quality data.
Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action processes.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing improvements to quality processes and procedures.
Support internal and external audits as required, providing documentation and assistance to auditors.
Train and mentor entry-level Quality Technicians on established procedures and best practices.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and improve product quality.
Perform first article inspections (FAI) and maintain relevant documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
