The Quality Engineering Technician Intern will support Quality Engineering in product quality improvements, and monitoring and reporting quality performance. This person will provide immediate quality support to production, inspection and other support teams as required. Requirements

  • Current College Student - program related to Engineering/Manufacturing preferred
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Currently enrolled in a college or technical program, and completed 1st or 2nd year of an Engineering, Manufacturing, or related program

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interpretation of drawings and other manufacturing materials
  • Basic knowledge for use of standard measuring equipment
  • Experience with spreadsheets and databases; ability to organize data efficiently and effectively into inspection reports
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485, ISO 80079-34 (ATEX), or 21 CFR part 820 (FDA)
  • Knowledge of electronic components and assemblies

Responsibilities

  • Administer and facilitate Non-Conformance (NCR) and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
  • Coordinate and facilitate processing Return Material Authorizations (RMA)
  • Perform various types of quality audits and inspections
  • Documentation practices in manfacturing
